Trustpower, Tauranga
The new Trustpower building in Tauranga was a massive project for us, taking around nine months to complete.
There are six different types of ceilings throughout the building, all purpose-built to suit the needs of the various Trustpower teams. The ceilings were all designed to manage acoustics using unique 3-dimensional tiles to create the right environments. As you can imagine, the call centre and sales teams require a different environment to that of the finance team and data analysts – so it was important the build was tailored to accommodate a wide range of needs. It also needed to be of superior quality and look modern.
The biggest challenge with this project was the exceptionally tight timeframes we had to work to. There were specific deadlines throughout the project which we needed to meet to guarantee each phase of the build was on track, and to ensure it would be ready on time for Trustpower to move their staff in, as promised. Not only that, but the architectural design was demanding in terms of skill and quality. Damo and the team more than delivered with their dedicated workforce and notable skillset – they really stepped up and helped us deliver an extraordinary building.
