Villa des Fleur is a project that embodies the essence of Mediterranean living, situated in the picturesque neighbourhood of Peregian Beach, Queensland. Renovated by Chloe Tozer and Jack Clissold, this 992 square-metre property has been transformed into a dream home with a beautiful Mediterranean feel. The design inspiration was drawn from the architecture and history discovered during travels to Morocco and the South of France, resulting in a unique blend of raw materials and rough, rendered, sculptural walls.
The footprint of the house has been strategically built away from the street front, with a north and south facing orientation to maximize natural light and create a seamless connection to the outdoors. The interiors feature French windows and doors, altered window locations to highlight different view points, and a master bedroom with a Juliette balcony overlooking the garden. The house boasts four bedrooms with ensuites, a study/creative workspace, two living areas, an upstairs deck, tiled patio leading to a pool and outdoor kitchen area, a wine cellar, large laundry, storage room, and a vegetable garden.
Full Rockcote systems were used with Microstone (in wet areas), Otsumigaki (ceiling and walls) and Cerano (external) as the finishes.
