As owner of a building company that has built over 300 homes in the Wellington region, when it came to building our own home we had a choice of any cladding option, but I held a considerable amount of concern around the style and form of the exterior cladding.
When comparing different options it became evident that we wanted a natural solid cladding that would stand the test of time and ultimately weather proof the house whilst giving the right degree of style.
The choice of Oamaru Stone became a simple choice, we looked at similar products but these created issues around delivery, how much more expensive they were and generally the confidence i got after discussions with Parkside were not replicated through these other suppliers.
Being south island born and bred, i loved the casual but totally honest and proactive approach that the Parkside team implement. Parkside's assurances around the quality of the stone and delivery were completely accurate and the stone we received was outstanding and a pleasure for my bricklayers to work with. As a company we have gone onto specify it for some special projects that we have completed and the results have been outstanding.
Oamaru Stone is a unique product that gives our property that exclusive, natural, solid look that we were striving to achieve and whilst there are many options that we work with as a building company, we personally chose Oamaru Stone from Parkside Quarries for our own property.
