CENTRE PIECE FOR WHAT WAS AT THE TIME THE LARGEST BROWNFIELDS URBAN REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT IN THE U.S.A. I won this project for Nuszer Kopatz Urban Design Associates through the client choosing my concept over those of several other urban designers, architects and landscape architects. This was the centre piece for what was at the time, the largest brownfields urban redevelopment project in the U.S.A. The West Crescent is a large urban plaza and park, which I took through to detailed design stage before joining Artscapes LLC to implement the bespoke elements of the project. In doing so I worked on the The West Crescent from concept sketch through to carving 2 metre tall stone feature elements. The project won the President’s Award for Excellence, the highest annual award from the Colorado chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
