By Fraser Cameron Architects
The extraordinary outlook of an East Coast cliff-top site with views to the Pacific has determined both the internal spaces and external form of this splendid house. Externally, the simple black shiplap weatherboard is enhanced with red coloured glass at the entry. Inside, the owner’s antique window frames and glass have been incorporated into operable screen walls to give the house a meaningful personal connection. Overall, this is an architecture with a rich aesthetic that is reflective of its powerful and uncompromising setting.
