Oto Group. OTO Group was established on the principles of designing well crafted, cosy spaces.We are a design collective, a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural community that has been drawn together because we all believe that great design should be shared. Our buildings are meant to be inhabited, not just look pretty in a magazine. OTO Group incorporates physical models and hand drawings to better see volumes, spaces, and the quality of light in a project. We work closely with our clients to craft a comfortable and stunning space with their preferences central to the design.Head designer Nicholas Dunning studied and worked in Denmark and Sweden for over four years. Returning to New Zealand, he brings with him an appreciation of both worlds. Nicholas won the design award for furniture in the Danish FSC competition, a scholarship with prominent Danish architectural firm Schmidt Hammer Lassen, and worked with Swedish Architects, Arkitema, on a variety of projects encompassing housing, libraries, schools and homes.Bringing the best thinking from Scandinavian design to our beautiful landscape in New Zealand, OTO Group represents a new way of thinking in architecture, a way of thinking that is good for us all and the environment we cherish.
