Innovative facade design for Windy Ridge School, a Green-Gold Enviro school in Auckland, showcasing a unique picture perforation concept that transforms exterior stairs into an interactive visual experience.

Metalli was proud to be part of the Windy Ridge School project, a Green-Gold Enviro school based in Auckland.

The scope of the project was an interactive and eye-catching facade for the exterior stairs on the school building. The architect had an inspiring picture and Insol Ltd had the expertise in facades. Metalli was engaged by Insol to bring these two things together, to craft this unique result. We did this through our specialized software and in-house design and manufacturing capabilities using the picture perforation concept.

This is a process where sheet metal is perforated with different sized holes. From a distance, the holes create a breath taking picture. An icon, a message... representing Windy Ridge School.
