You may have heard of textured paint, venetian plaster or polished plaster, and wondered if this type of finish would be a good choice for your interior walls and surfaces.

Ambitec Polished plasters are not only beautiful they are also versatile and durable, and through their timeless quality make them not only aesthetically pleasing but also a great investment. The average NZ Homeowner renovates their home every 5-10 years. During this time trends can change, kids grow up and spaces may need a new purpose. Our polished plaster finishes will last 10 years and beyond as they are easy to clean, easily repaired and don’t sway with the trends.

Suave in Still White - Bathroom leading through to master bedroom.

Our Suave polished plaster, in the traditional medium texture and medium polish, being the most specified finish, is a great place to start. We can reduce and increase the texture to suit your taste ensuring that it still provides enough movement and depth to catch the both the natural and artificial light throughout your home. As lighting is key to truly bring your polished plaster surfaces to life, we always take time to understand your lighting plan and ensure that the wall finish you choose will provide the look that you had in mind.

With over 50 shades to choose from within our colour library, from whites to neutrals, greys and brights, you can find that perfect colour to complement your existing or new décor. We can also provide you with advice as to what wall finishes will work best with your new material palette and insights into the current and classic favourites used by architects and designers.

Once installed, with a bit of love and care, regular dusting and gentle cleaning, your polished plaster walls will continue to look great throughout their lifetime. See our Care Guide for how easy it is. Even when the décor in other parts of the home is swapped or updated, our interior wall finishes will continue to hold on to their beauty, remaining pertinent and timeless.
