From hospitality to corporate, retail and even luxury residential interiors, Axminster carpets deliver on both aesthetics and performance to impress in even the heaviest of traffic areas. Woven in intricate patterns from high-quality yarns, Axminster carpets offer customisable style paired with comfort, acoustic performance and durability. For projects where the flooring can set the tone for the whole interior style, it’s no wonder that Axminster carpet is often the natural choice.

Axminister Carpet – A Smart Choice

When evaluating commercial flooring and carpets, Axminster carpets shine across the board on the performance factors that matter most.

Acoustics

Due to their dense wool construction, Axminster carpets efficiently absorb sound, allowing them to dampen echoes and loud noises. This makes for improved acoustics, particularly in busy environments such as hotel corridors, office lobbies and hospitality venues.

Softness

The wool fibres of the carpet also yield a softness that simply isn’t found on hard surfaces. The plush texture offers soft underfoot cushioning, particularly for those spending long days on their feet, such as hotel staff or retail workers. The carpet fibres also help to provide greater traction control on staircases, ramps and other inclined surfaces, helping to reduce the occurrence of slips, trips and falls.

Durability

Made from a premium blend of 80% wool and 20% nylon, Axminsters carpets are among the most durable rugs and carpets. The blend ensures the carpets retain their beauty even with heavy foot traffic over time.

Complete Customisation

At Designer Rugs, our Axminister carpet collection includes designs from three renowned designers. From Catherine Martin’s signature old-world aesthetic to Greg Natale’s bold geometric and abstract patterns and the monochromatic designs of MR Carpet, there’s a wide selection to choose from.

“We have the in-house and designer ranges available, but what is most interesting to our customers is that we can custom design an Axminster carpet to suit any project,” explains Shaun Russell, Designer Rugs Senior Account Manager.

This is one of the key advantages of Axminster carpets. It’s a cost effective solution for bespoke wall-to-wall rugs and carpets, without compromising on quality or style. It also makes it possible to effortlessly combine rugs and carpeted areas in matching or complimentary designs.

Unlike more limited hard flooring materials, Axminster carpets can be fully customised to match your design vision. Whether it’s a standard repeat pattern or a unique layout with grand sprawling pattern placements, near-endless customisation is possible.

“Choosing Axminister carpet is very much about the designs and colours. We can adapt whatever design our clients are looking at or imagining and create a bespoke solution to fit into their space." Lia Pielli, Designer Rugs Senior Designer

Our Designer Rugs Team will support you through the entire process, whether you’re converting a Designer Rugs pattern into an Axminster carpet or seeking a completely bespoke design. All the ‘off-the-shelf’ designs feature repeat patterns, however our designers can take any pattern and make it into a repeat. Non-repeat customised designs are also possible.
