Choosing the Right Chair

Not all sunny corners are the same, and neither are all lounge chairs. Consider how you want to use the space.

Do you want to:

Want to sit back with a good book for hours? Get something large and cushioned, that is stylish, supportive, and designed for languorous afternoons.
Want to catch up with some friends over drinks? Look for a lounge chair that invites conversation. An outdoor lounge chair with generous seating and a laid-back silhouette is the ideal sport for sinking in with a glass in hand. Pair it with a side table for your snacks or spritz, or opt for a double-seater version if you’re hosting more than one friend.
Want a little touch of modernity? The Laguna 3 piece lounge chair outdoor set accommodates modern, minimalist spaces where looks are important.

3 Sun-Filled Styling Tips

Here’s how to bring your garden corner to life using your lounge chairs as the centrepiece:

1. Utilise the Light

Organise your seating for natural light enjoyment, but consider comfort, too. A nook facing east takes in the morning sun, great for early risers. If it is facing west, it will enjoy the evening sun’s golden hour glow. If you are comfortably out in the midday sun, consider adding a large umbrella or a shade sail to provide shade and keep you cool, although not compromising on the experience.

2. Add Soft Accessories & Texture

Some outdoor cushions in weather-proofed fabric will add soft comfort to your seats. We suggest you pick patterns or colours that complement the natural tones of your plantings or add a bright colour to achieve further enrichment. Here is another tip: pick a lightweight throw blanket to drape over your armrest for a fabulous evening.

3. Create a Mini Retreat

Consider pairing your chair with a small outdoor coffee or side table if you can fit it. It’s not just a practical thing to do, but it creates the intended purpose of the sunlit space. You could place books, snacks, or even a vase of fresh, cut flowers from your garden on it. Need a little more privacy? You could use a tall potted plant, a trellis, or a bamboo screen as a background behind your chair’s placement to enclose the space and create a tucked-away feeling.

Think Beyond the Garden

While garden corners are dreamy, don’t overlook other sunny spots around your home:

Front porch? A single lounge chair, like our Raglan chair and a potted plant can create a welcoming entryway with personality.
Deck or balcony? Compact chairs like the Grace resin outdoor 3 piece lounge setting offer comfort without taking up too much space.
Poolside or patio? A Monaco sun lounger brings resort vibes right to your backyard.
