Native to NZ. Attractive flax-like plant with rough leaf edges and reddish leaf base. Showy berries, ranging from pale grey to purple, blue, or white. The berries are not edible. Great mass planted as a ground cover. Prefers a sunny or semi-shaded site with free-draining soil. Tolerates coastal. Hardy. Evergreen. Medium growth rate.

Recommended spacing = 30 - 90cm.
