A solar pool cover reel keeps the cover gathered beside the pool while it is not in use. The Sunline Rollaway Cover Unit by SSL Distributors is listed as an option for storing a pool cover without leaving it spread over the water.

Pool cover storage

A swimming pool solar cover reel needs a clear position beside the pool, with sufficient room for the cover to roll clear of steps, fencing and planting. Check the cover dimensions and available circulation space before confirming the unit’s location; the Sunline Rollaway Cover Unit is the example listed on this page.

What should be checked before fitting a solar pool cover reel?

Measure the cover and pool width, then check the pool edge for level ground and clear access. Leave room for the rolled cover without obstructing circulation.

How does a swimming pool solar cover reel support pool maintenance?

With the pool open, it stores the cover off the water and makes the cover easier to position and remove. Follow the product instructions for handling and storage.

Is a round pool cover reel suitable for every pool?

Suitability depends on the pool shape, cover size and space available at the edge. Check the reel dimensions and the cover manufacturer’s requirements before specifying it.
