For more than two decades, Scotty’s Construction has built a reputation for delivering highly crafted architectural homes and renovations across Wellington and the Wairarapa.

Since 2002, our work has been recognised consistently at the Registered Master Builders House of the Year Awards, with award-winning projects spanning more than a decade. These honours include Gold, Supreme, National Gold Reserve, Regional Category, Craftsmanship, Sustainable Excellence and Smart Home awards across both new homes and major renovations.

That recognition reflects the standard of craftsmanship behind every project. From complex architectural homes on steep Wellington sites to high-performance new builds, substantial renovations and heritage properties, our team is experienced in translating ambitious design into carefully resolved, beautifully built homes.

We work closely with architects, designers, clients and specialist trades throughout the construction process. Many of our strongest projects begin with early builder involvement, allowing us to contribute practical construction knowledge around buildability, materials, detailing, programme and budget while the design is still taking shape.

Once construction begins, our Construction Manager, Site Foreman and wider team oversee each project through a clear programme of works, regular communication and close collaboration with the wider design team.

Our approach is grounded in precision, problem-solving and respect for the architectural intent. The aim is not simply to construct what has been drawn, but to understand the design, resolve the details properly and deliver a finished home that reflects the quality of the original vision.
