1980's Renovation, Christchurch banner

In this Spacious family home in rural Canterbury, the existing kitchen had a feeling that was unfortunately far from spacious. With the sink and the cooktop both installed into angled sections of bench in opposite corners of the room pulling the space inwards and also adding to the sense of being closed off from the rest of the house was a small walk-in pantry that took up valuable floor space but didn’t offer great storage.

Our clients asked for a kitchen that was going to become the heart of the home, and also be super functional for a busy family. This meant some small adjustments to the space were required to allow for square clean lines. Along with wanting better storage and bench space, our clients also wanted seating along the island so the family could have a casual dining area.

We used our Gloss Flash White door fronts installed with stainless steel integrated handles and combined this with our very popular Concrete Grey laminate benchtop to create a calm and subtle space.

The clients took advantage of the renovation to bring the beautiful engineered timber floors through from the living spaces and once they added their finishes touches, the result has been a real success.
