By Dickson Rothschild
An 80-room waterfront hotel in Vanuatu with a unique location, close to downtown while also secluded on the main lagoon of Port Vila. The resort is now operated by Ramada and is popular with both tourists and the local market.
It has a boutique resort feel with a waterfront pool and an open-air dining room centrepiece. There are conference facilities, meeting rooms, and a sports bar. Each building is designed to offer different experiences for those staying at the hotel. The junior suite rooms are well equipped with a compact living room, bedroom, kitchen, and with access to an open lawn directly onto the lagoon. The 6-storey tower has generous rooms with expansive water and Port Vila CBD views.
Dickson Rothschild was involved in extensive building type testing at the earliest stages of the project. We were the Architect from design through to construction. The project was built to international standards by local builders and retains its excellent condition several years after completion.
