Armadale Residence

Given the choice, we’d choose to live in a stable any day of the week! When it has been luxuriously renovated by Sanders & King, that is. The Stables is the secondary dwelling located at the rear of their completed Armadale Residence – a modern revival of a stately Victorian-era home, brought to life with the help of architects Pleysier Perkins. The original Italianate 19th century home and stables of Armadale Residence have both been exquisitely restored and refurbished. Every inch of the property now reinstated to its former glory and beyond. Pleysier Perkins along with Sanders & King have worked their significant magic in every detail of this home. Beyond the opulence of the main house, past the generous courtyard, pool and garden, The Stables sits as a sanctuary. Intended as a comfortable ‘family-friendly zone’, The Stables exemplifies the same modern Australian style as the original home while adopting its own fresh countryside personality. The introduction of sliding barn doors, painted brickwork and raw timber create a contemporary farmhouse feel. While our Shaker fireplace enhances this atmosphere perfectly, bringing an element of organic warmth to The Stables’ living and kitchen areas. With The Stables, Sanders & King have created the perfect extension to the Armadale Residence. Designed with such sophistication and comfort, the space effortlessly pivots to suit the homeowner’s desired use. Fit for comfort, entertainment, accommodation and every purpose in between.
