Superbly positioned at the base of the renowned Tobins Track in Arrowtown, this 2 bedroom cottage was in need of a full makeover. Our talented client had a clear vision for this prime spot and once we had finished breathing new life into the building the result is stunning.

The building was scaffolded and wrapped to provide some protection from the depths of an Arrowtown winter while the roof, cladding and joinery were all completely removed. Pitching a new roof structure allowed the ceilings to be opened up and a full height gable window now captures the hillside full of the autumn flame reds and yellows, for which Arrowtown is famed.

A new gas fire and ducted heat pump system provide ambiance and warmth in winter while in summer the entire house can be opened up to the landscaped exterior with a mix of bifolding windows, sliding doors and even a stable entry door to capture views back to the Remarkables mountain range.

There isn’t a piece of this cottage that hasn’t been completely transformed and the overall result is amazing.
