This home was designed for a family living abroad. When Covid hit, they were unable to travel to New Zealand during the design process, so the relationship between architect and client was built remotely, with a strong level of trust.
The result is a calm, expansive home that responds to the family’s brief and makes the most of the space, landscape and views across their rural property. It is a home designed to feel generous and relaxed, and to provide a place for the family to return to and enjoy New Zealand.
Now living here, the owners are enjoying the home they created from afar, and making the most of their New Zealand home and its surroundings.
