Balmoral Bathers' Pavillion

Set on Sydney’s Balmoral Beach overlooking Middle Harbour, the much-loved Bather’s Pavilion underwent an internal upgrade and fresh fitout to its front of house ground floor, and level 1 function space and terrace. Bathers was an exciting project for Calida to undertake and we worked closely with Luchetti Krelle to achieve a high-quality aesthetic that revitalised the interior of the prestigious Heritage Building and complemented the stunning views of Balmoral Beach. The scope included a complete upgrade of services including mechanical and lighting. The ground floor was transformed by the introduction of ceiling features, high quality joinery, and new finishes throughout.

The function area was transformed by ceiling features and specialty finishes to the walls, as well as the refinishing of the floors throughout level 1, that turned the space from old to new again. The terrace, now open to the public, was converted into a sanctuary overlooking the beach with new finishes and a portable bar serving Champagne and cocktails. All works were completed within a tight 9-week programme, allowing the client open on time as scheduled, which was critical to the success of the project.
