By Calida Projects
Located along the bustling street of Kippax Street, Surry Hills, this derelict rag trade building underwent a major refurbishment and service upgrade.
The project comprised 9 levels each 300sqm in floor space, which included the upgrade of all major electrical, mechanical and hydraulic services. The existing base building amenities underwent a transformation to deliver a total of 17 new male/ female and ambulant bathrooms with 2 shower amenities and a new ‘end of trip’ facility. The highlight of this building upgrade included the addition of a rooftop garden terrace providing panoramic views overlooking the city. The design of the project was championed by MHN Design Union Architects and ranged from sleek aluminium timber feature panels, large marble floor and wall tiling to high ceiling design throughout to maximise the future use of office space. Calida worked closely with MHNDU Architects and the client Restifa & Partners to deliver a high quality & successful on time project.
