Sil­ver tones and sculp­tur­al forms off­set a back­drop of nat­ur­al mate­ri­als in this con­tem­po­rary coastal garden.

Work­ing from the inside out and inspired by the con­cept of liv­ing amongst the trees, a gen­er­ous Ficus hillii sits with­in the cen­tral atri­um, fill­ing the avail­able space it pro­vides a nat­ur­al out­look while enhanc­ing the con­nec­tion between zones.

To the rear, an exist­ing pond formed in nat­ur­al stone was exca­vat­ed to cre­ate a unique cir­cu­lar pool designed by the archi­tect. Here the stonework is a fea­ture, which sets the tone for nat­ur­al mate­ri­als, organ­ic shapes and relaxed plant­i­ng scheme. On the rooftop, a selec­tion of hard­wear­ing and orna­men­tal species frame unim­ped­ed ocean views.

Wyer & Co. is an inte­grat­ed land­scape design prac­tice, found­ed by Antho­ny Wyer in 2005.
