Veneto Paving in Melbourne Bunurong Memorial Park

In 2015 Horizon was selected by BVN Architects to provide a Terrazzo Paver for the presdigious Bunurong Memorial Park Upgrade. Horizon worked providing numberous samples to achieve the colour palette that would completent the addition to Bunurong Memorial Park.

The Paver created used a high quality range of New Zealand raw materials including a Basalt chip and Waimumu Pearl, both quartz sourced from the Southland Region, McCallum chip from the Auckland region, all combined to manufacture this incredible paver.

In 2015 Horizon receieved the order, the custom Terrazzo paver was to be used on several external areas as well as the interal areas to the new Chapels and the cafe Vita le flores.

Created by the Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust, this is a unique Australian sanctuary designed to respectfully honour and celebrate life within vast and vibrant native parkland, Bunurong has also been purpose-built for daily community enjoyment.

The Veneto paver was supplied with two surface textures, Honed for internal and Milled for the external pavers to meet strict slip skid requirements.

The Veneto range was used through the the cafe Vita le flores as well as the new florist shop.
