In the heart of Auckland’s Viaduct Basin, this tired one-bedroom apartment was given a new lease of life. The planning was re-configured to be open and free-flowing and better connected to the harbour views and lively urban location.
Cabinetry was carefully designed to maximise internal space and to be a backdrop to the clients’ art and furniture, while adding much needed storage. A timber panelled core encloses and hides service and ancillary spaces, including a spacious bathroom. The apartment has a calmness that takes you away from the city’s hustle and bustle while enjoying sea and city views.
