By Fraemohs Homes
Overlooking Hanmer Springs, this 'Manapouri' design is right at home in the alpine township amongst plenty of other timber homes by Fraemohs. Naturally warm, dry and healthy which is great for the cool winters and hot summers Hanmer is known for, it's also earthquake proof because of the interlocking timber system so is a reassuring choice in this earthquake prone area.
Comprised of two distinct pods, it can be built at separate times as an option. Low maintenance and built entirely of sustainably grown New Zealand timber, it is a carbon negative home. A 'Manapouri' show home is open for viewing at the Fraemohs head office in Christchurch, see the website for more details.
Monni Fraemohs arrived in New Zealand from Denmark with a passion for Danish design and quality. He was inspired by New Zealand’s natural environment and plentiful exotic timber, and in 1968 he started Fraemohs Homes with a vision to share his passions, and to create homes Kiwis would love.
More than five decades, and thousands of houses both locally and internationally later, we still manufacture the timber for our homes from the same Christchurch site we always have. And while Monni has moved on, Fraemohs Homes remains locally owned and true to Monni’s founding principles; excellence in design, quality, and most importantly helping our customers to love where they live.
Our kitset homes are available nationwide and internationally. Our franchises provide a full design and build service across Canterbury, Otago, Tasman/Marlborough, the Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Wellington. We also have a range of transportable homes built with sustainably grown New Zealand timber.
Fraemohs Homes is a registered Master Builder, and offers a Master Build Guarantee with every home we build.
