Exposed on a raw coastline, the Dasler house was designed to create a place of home whilst truly staying connected to the existing natural surroundings. It was clear this was a special site rich in history from the get go.  

The narrative was important to the owners as they had called this site home since circa 1984, it was a challenging environment with remarkable views. Our vision was to create a home that told a story, and fitted perfectly in its sculpted east-coast landscape.  

The home itself was crafted with simple forms and clean lines, the form and materials helped to create a sense of warmth to give a bach feel in a modern home. The connection to place was essential, the movable ‘glazed corner walls’ retract back to bring the external environment inside.

The home demonstrates beachside living at its finest, it creates a seamless view whilst still creating a sense of comfort and warmth in the home.
