Add an open plan living area to the back of the house. This area will include a kitchen and dining area the flows onto the deck and garden through a full wall length sliding door. Behind the kitchen in a separate area a scullery for laundry, dishwashing and storage. The addition was seamlessly integrated with the existing building by matching the exterior finishes and timber joinery while the Kauri timber overlay matches the current house bringing the classic warm and beautiful feeling of the existing home into the new addition and marrying modern kitchen and scullery facilities with the era of the villa.

The existing kitchen and dining area were turned into a family living room housing a new wood burning fireplace to warm up cold and wet days and nights.

The bedroom adjacent to the master bedroom was turned into an en-suite and a family bathroom while turning the existing family bathroom into a bedroom. This allowed the bathroom facilities to be more central to the bedrooms and separate from the kitchen but not inconvenient when entertaining.

Storage space was increased with a wardrobe in the master bedroom a cupboard in the passage and attic access with finishes that matches the era of the house.

Final this beautiful villa was newly painted and new veranda roof to replace the old rusty one.
