Dock 27: A thoughtfully designed development that harmonizes with its historic surroundings in Port Adelaide, featuring a striking blend of red brick and steel, while maintaining the character of the neighborhood.
Dock 27 is designed in a way that the mass, form and scale of the development do not compromise the character of the neighbourhood. The building is physically separated from the historic built form by both the at-grade car park and North Parade, such that the increased height sits comfortably in the context without affecting the prominence of the historic streetscape to the south-east.
The materials such as red brick and steel perfectly complement the character of the locality. The setback of the tower element behind the podium facade also attenuates the perceived scale of the building from the immediate surrounds.
