In the summer, the living spaces open out into the garden surrounded by native bush, shaded and ventilated for comfort and fresh air. In the winter, the fireplace and the rammed earth wall provide not just heat and thermal mass for the lounge, but also a wetback system integrated into underfloor heating makes the home a cozy retreat from the elements.

The family also conducted their work-from-home business from the property, sharing the lush surroundings with clients each day.

Natural materials were ever present, blending the home with the surroundings and giving piece of mind that the home was not damaging to the family, or the wider environment.
