Farm Cove Eatery is situated within the grounds of the Royal Botanical Gardens in Sydney. A key design consideration was to maintain natural light and clear sight-lines into the venue, given the space’s low ground floor positioning.

A light palette was adopted to keep the space bright and fresh, in perfect sync with the surrounding green environment. Raw terracotta tones coupled with warm textured timbers bring an earthiness to the room suggestive to the venue’s strong focus on Native Australian ingredients.

We wanted to create a “no fuss” approachability to this venue. Raw materials such as concrete and terracotta were adopted within the selection of lighting fixtures and hand-made tiles to illustrate a genuine honesty of materials. This was key to the design aesthetic and successfully creates an all-encompassing precinct hub that is Farm Cove Eatery.
