Corporate identity is expressed through its workplace design and ForestOne certainly takes this concept to new heights. With a focus on sustainability and durability, ForestOne pays tribute to its historic values while unveiling a newly designed office space that signifies the beginning of a new era.

Working in collaboration with ICON Interiors, ForestOne had a clear vision of creating a space that not only served as a highly functional office but also a place to showcase the versatility and beauty of their key products across EGGER, Meganite and DesignerPly.

The Abbotsford head office comprises an open showroom, a luxurious-spaced kitchen, several meeting spaces and a well-refined organic layout of internal offices. Each element was carefully selected during the design process to ensure a productive place of belonging was achieved and where employees and visitors feel inspired as soon as they step their foot through the door.

The Hub of ForestOne

The kitchen is the heart of the home and the thriving heart and soul of the ForestOne Headoffice. Serving double the purpose as a display kitchen and a communal space for its co-workers, ForestOne and ICON Interiors needed to ensure the space could meet the daily demands of dining, preparation and hygiene while also establishing a soothing ambience. This required materials that could perform just as well as they looked.

With its colourful and playful booths, natural timber hues, crisp whites and deep blues the kitchen speaks to intelligent design with the partnership of EGGER and Meganite used throughout. Mt Carrara Meganite was used for all bench surfaces, inclusive of the expansive island. With Meganite’s incredible ability to thermoform, ForestOne said goodbye to the limitations of traditional materials with the kitchen’s most striking feature of its curved edge waterfall with inconspicuous joints. With its low maintenance and durable qualities, the curvature provides an organic and sensual feeling to the communal hub.

Mt Carrara beautifully melds with the Indigo Blue PerfectSense and Tobacco Halifax Oak Feelwood EGGER cabinetry, offering a scratch-resistant and finger-proof solution for the frequently used space.

Collaborate and Grow

Collaboration is a core value of ForestOne, so it was important that there were plenty of places to meet, discuss and brainstorm. ICON and ForestOne set the intention to create several meeting spaces within the public showroom and internal office area that achieved a calm and efficient atmosphere while also providing noise pollution solutions for a bustling and busy environment.

In a spacious, comfortable and technologically advanced boardroom the space is lined with Perforated Birch DesignerPly with acoustic backing from floor to ceiling that offers a sound safe environment for all meetings. The expansive boardroom table also centres the space where Pewter Halifax Oak EGGER Feelwood contributes to a natural and authentic feel with its surface texture and knot appearance perfectly aligning to its true wood grain.

The theme of functionality and beauty continues throughout the entire ForestOne office where it was essential each individual office had plenty of storage. Graphite Grey PerfectSense EGGER was used for cabinetry in each office keeping cleanliness a priority and fingerprints invisible, with matching open-air shelving and desks. The internal offices also showcase the vast variety EGGER offers with each business section having its own gradient within the EGGER Feelwood range moving from light to dark as you journey through the atrial hallway.

Beauty within the Bathroom

When it came to the internal bathrooms it was clear that Meganite was the prime choice to meet the requirements of a hygienic and chic environment. To achieve an authentic stone look, Sage Terrazzo Meganite was used for all vanities to offer a completely non-porous surface which meant easy cleaning and no need for sealing.

Coupled with Black PerfectSense EGGER cabinetry the two materials gracefully strike the balance of creating an on-trend and timeless look.
