From Vision to Victory

When passersby admire the elegant, fortresslike home at the southern end of Pearl Beach on the NSW Central Coast, they can hardly imagine the monumental hurdles that were overcome to bring it to life. This magnificent home, built by Kane Harrison of Evolving Construction, an industry leader with over 27 years of expertise in high-end custom homes, showcases thought, care, and ingenuity in every detail.

One significant challenge involved a corner stacking door with a unique 90-degree angle that no-one else was willing to tackle. By collaborating closely with architect Glen and builder Kane, we successfully devised a solution to implement the design.

The home features oversized Series 704 SlideMASTER™ Sliding Doors that extend up to 9 metres and disappear into wall cavities when fully opened, seamlessly integrating the natural environment and the living space. “Birds even fly through the home,” notes Kane.

A remarkable application of the Series 704 can be found in the upstairs living room, where wall-to-wall doors offer breathtaking water views. When opened, they invite the refreshing sea breeze to flow through the entire house.

Additionally, the Series 400 Single Glazed CentreGLAZE™ Framing is utilised throughout the home, accommodating various sizes of fixed windows. A standout element is the courtyard, where oversized fixed windows usher in an abundance of natural light that floods the interior spaces.

This project has taken out multiple awards including the HIA-CSR Hunter Home of the Year and the HIA National Home of the Year award last year.
