Innovative acoustic solutions enhance functionality and privacy at the Henderson Police Station in Auckland, featuring Autex Lattice baffles and Cube™ panels for improved speech clarity and noise reduction in dynamic workspaces.
It is great to be part of an exciting local project completed by Hamish Davies of GHDWoodhead creativespaces at the Henderson Police Station in Auckland. Police stations are dynamic spaces with a range of functional requirements from team discussions to video interviews. Getting the acoustic right means these activities can all function in one space with a limited building footprint.
A combination of Autex Lattice baffles suspended above desk pods and 12mm Cube™ overlaid with Etch™ in a Pinstripe style applied to the walls in the meeting and privacy rooms reduced the base level noise and improved speech clarity where private conversations would be held. With a bold and creative colour palette, Hamish managed to design a stylish space that was complemented by the use of the Autex Acoustic range which we are proud to say is the most comprehensive colour range in the market.
