Hunter House - A fusion of timeless aesthetics and contemporary functionality.
This client approached us to curate an interior that mirrored their refined taste, with a specific focus on incorporating classic design elements and a pop of colour. This project is a fusion of timeless aesthetics and contemporary functionality.
Taking cues from a palette of neutral artisanal materials within the home from architecture company C. Kairouz, importance was placed on selecting furniture that respectfully matched this quality whilst also adding a touch of considered colour and intrigue. Building on this, strong and considered lines underpin furniture selections throughout the home, which was a key briefing note that the project Interior Designer received.
A custom rug in the main living space acts as a foundation for the deep petrol green Ploum Settee by Ligne Roset. The textural interest that this sofa creates alongside the visual softness juxtaposes against the strong lines of the Avet coffee table via In Good Company, an MDF Italia screen through Bachali and outdoor furniture in the lush courtyard beyond.
Bright and somewhat unexpected artwork throughout the home creates a captivating contrast against the grey Venetian plaster walls. Joshua Andree’s Cloudbreak artwork frames the dining space and creates the perfect backdrop for a JB.DS dining table; Paul Snell’s somewhat sensory-focused artwork in the client's home office and Peter Summer’s yellow artwork perfectly clash yet complement the cocoa bedding and navy blue custom bedhead in the client's bedroom.
