Transforming a narrow ex-retail space into a vibrant and functional office for IVHQ, featuring contemporary design elements like green walls, a staff café, and innovative meeting spaces, recognized with the NZIA Western Branch Award for Commercial Architecture.
IVHQ is a world-leading volunteer co-ordination and logistics hub, creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences for wannabe volunteers the world over. A narrow ex-retail space needed to be revolutionised into a light, bright and functional modern office. With design led by Murali Bhaskar, this office space turned into a destination in itself with exciting contemporary features such as green walls, staff café space and the 'solid yarn' meeting room. With extra design requirements including implementing bike racks and how to discourage people walking in off the street, this really was a unique project to undertake. The final result was an office staff can't wait to get to each morning!
