This project at John St in Ponsonby showcases a masterful blend of historical character and contemporary design. The home respects the traditional villa aesthetic at the street front while extending into a sophisticated, modern living space at the rear. Every detail was carefully considered to bridge the gap between heritage charm and the requirements of current high-end residential living.
The interior layout focuses on an expansive open-plan area, finished with dark, moody tones and premium materials to create a sense of refined luxury. Large glazing elements invite natural light deep into the home, perfectly framing the transition to the outdoor areas. This renovation successfully achieves a balance of striking modern architectural execution and the warmth of a classic Ponsonby residence.
