The owners of this property asked us to help them remodel their family bathroom, new master bedroom with attached ensuite.
We felt the ensuite should have functionality to allow two busy people to be in the room at the same time, the double shower has a his and hers shower head. We introduced a touch of 'sparkle' with the glass bronze tiles in the shower. These tiles are a focal point in the rool and add personality and drama. Tile trim has been used to frame the bronze tiles which have been laid in a herringbone pattern.
There is a bidet toilet seat in the ensuite and it has multiple functions for washing and drying. It's even heated to your chosen temperature.
Whilst work on site was in progress the owners travelled to China, and there they fell in love with the silk duvet cover. We arranged a custom headboard and curtains to compliment the duvet colours in the bedroom. The wall lights, imported from Italy are perfect for reading with a directional wand that has a 1w LED light inside it.
The family bathroom is bright and cheerful with the custom vanity and wall cabinet being painted in the clients favourite colour. The walls are tiled floor to ceiling to make it practical and easy to care for. A white gloss tile with a textured hesagonal pattern has been used and that inspired the gorgeous mosaic feature tile surrounding the bath. The floor has a wood look tile, to add warmth.
Both bathrooms have under tile heating to keep feet warm in the winter months. It is controlled by a thermostat, which is programmed to the times you use the room in the morning and at night.
LED extrusion lights, on dimmer switches were used in both bathrooms to offer functional and mood lighting. And at night there is a light contorlled by a sensor under the vanity.
Being located in an area with sulphur activity, we specified fittings that can handle corrosion, as we know that bathrooms are the third most expensive room to renovate, so we focused on recommending products that would last.
This homeowner involved us to recommend all the fittings, tiles and finishes as well as retaining our services during construction. We liaised with the builder from demolition to completion. This room exceeded the clients expectations, given the attention to detail and finishes that they appreciate when staying in upmarket hotels.
