Maddren partnered with ASSA ABLOY to specify a complete hardware package featuring Lockwood internal hardware and Yale external locking systems.
The Lockwood Vivid range was selected for internal spaces, thanks to its clean lines, versatile finishes, and premium feel. PVD Satin Brass and Gunmetal finishes provided the designer with environmentally friendly, hardwearing options that enhanced the home’s modern look while offering longevity. Features like Lockwood’s minimal privacy pin added subtle but functional touches that contribute to a sleek and seamless interior.
Externally, Yale’s Assure SL smart lock with pull handle brought cutting-edge convenience to the home. Maddren utilised features such as construction PIN codes for tradies, which could later be updated for staff and eventual homeowners—simplifying access management at each phase. Homeowners benefit from keyless entry and one-touch locking, improving day-to-day usability and peace of mind.
Importantly, both Lockwood and Yale hardware complemented the showhome’s architectural vision. The exterior hardware, in particular, maintained the home’s clean lines and layered textures without distraction—demonstrating how functionality and style can coexist beautifully.

ASSA ABLOY provided diverse samples early in the project, with final selections led by Maddren’s interior designer. The result is a hardware package that not only meets the home’s visual standards but elevates them.

Inside, the Lockwood Vivid range was chosen for its sleek lines and versatile finishes PVD Satin Brass and Gunmetal, both of which are hardwearing, low-maintenance, and environmentally preferable to traditional electroplating. Lockwood’s thoughtful design features, like the privacy pin for bathrooms and bedrooms, offer practical locking benefits without compromising aesthetics. Maddren has received praise from clients coming through the showhome so far, noting the hardware’s solid feel and refined finish.
For external access, Yale hardware plays a central role in security and convenience. The Yale Assure SL with pull handle offers a deadlock, keyless entry, and Yale Home App benefits, including multiple PIN codes that simplify access for trades, staff, and homeowners.
