A stunning home overlooking Mahinepua Bay, seamlessly integrated into the landscape with a design that reflects the natural surroundings, offering breathtaking views and multiple sheltered areas for relaxation and connection to nature.
No house should ever be on a hill or on anything. It should be of the hill. Belonging to it. Hill and house should live together each the happier for the other.~ Frank Lloyd Wright
With a 360 degree vista this home overlooks Mahinepua Bay in the Bay of islands, NZ. Majestic views shape the design that nestles into the hillcrest with a roof form that mimics and flows from the landform around it. Likened to a bird resting, and waiting to take flight, this home provides multiple large windows and doors that open to provide connection to the earth, sea and sky. Multiple nesting areas allow shelter for the occupants no matter the wind direction. Picture yourself on a moonlit evening, stars fill the night sky, you are soaking in the hot tub with a glass of rose while overlooking the secluded bay.
