Morningside Magic
Our brief here was to fully renovate an existing Transitional Villa and connect the living areas to the expansive back yard. Our client wanted to create a functioning, comfortable family home and to take better advantage of their leafy garden.
As the rear yard and outlook was to the south it was our challenge to obtain views and maximise sun into the house from this aspect.
Graeme’s solution was a modern garden 'pavilion' room at the end of the Villa’s central hallway. This room has become a dramatic light-filled space, which opens out towards the back yard.
This contemporary Pavilion design is a unique solution which now sits comfortably against the existing Villa and allows for year round enjoyment of the family's private space.
