The brief: Freedom Village is a unique lifestyle community for the over 50’s, located at Golden Sands in Papamoa. Urban Lounge provided interior design and procurement consultancy for a new 5,500 sq ft Community Centre complex. The brief was to create a resort look and feel.
Outcomes: The Urban Lounge Interiors team created a relaxed and timeless interior using stained timbers and moody paint colours on the vaulted ceilings and walls. Flooring included durable sisal look carpets and robust vinyl plank. Finished with furnishings such as rattan furniture, and bold coloured upholstery fabrics on chairs and ceiling pendants. The bathrooms feature copper accents.
With tropical plantings, large palms and wooden ceiling fans to complete the look.
