The design and build of a new athlete’s accommodation lodge on a green field site. 
The project consisted of:
24 studio units
12 two bedroom units
Dormitory facilitating 14 single beds in two separate (male and female) areas
Managers 2 bedroom house complete with reception and waiting area
Guest amenity and meeting building comprising of 3 meeting rooms, male and female ablutions, bike repair workshop, kitchen and laundry facilities.

One challenge on this build was the large service trench that was in the centre of the road that accesses all areas. Installing this whilst constructing multiple buildings took serious planning and buy in from the sub-contractors. The trench was staged which was reflected in the programme.

The level of defecting was one of our largest to date. Managing Director Louis Shaw undertook the inspections of each and every surface, photographing and documenting each item, then following up to check the facility was handed over in perfect condition. High level defecting no doubt makes easy work for the architect/consultants and certainly improves the product. Since then Lobell has invested in software to streamline the defecting process.
