Winner of the 2021 Excellence in Construction Awards

The Robin Hood Hotel underwent a complete facelift & reuse of the existing space within the venue from July 2020 to March 2021.

The space was designed by H&E Architects, in collaboration with Design Miss M and constructed by Calida over the 9 month period as mentioned above.

With significant excavation, underpinning and structural works within the Basement the space was transformed from an unhabitable space to a fully functional Kitchen & amenities block for the public. The Ground Floor underwent a facelift and refurbishment, whilst maintaining the look and feel of the existing Hotel for the locals. The existing apartment rooms on Level 1 were unoccupied for several years, which saw a complete change of use for the space – Calida developed this area into another fully operational kitchen, dining & bar area, as well as a new outdoor bistro & amenities block to service Level 1. A complete renovation was completed to the rooftop, as well as a brand new skylight to compliment the design of Level 1.

Calida bought the project from its infancy of the DA stage, right through to a fully documented project that was managed on a Construction Management basis, up until its completion in early March 2021.
