A luxurious semi-industrial beachfront home on the Kapiti Coast, featuring a blend of modern and vintage chic design, sustainable elements, and stunning views of Kapiti Island, completed in 2023 for clients Mike Yardley and Chris Taggart.

Introducing the Semi Industrial Beachside Stunner, This exceptional beachfront home on the Kapiti Coast designed by Peter Davis was crafted with impeccable attention to detail to be a luxurious blend of semi-industrial modern and vintage chic.

Organic landscaping and natural sand dunes cleverly blend the building into its beach setting, while the semi-industrial, minimalist aesthetic brings recycled and modern elements together. Features such as Matai flooring, industrial track lighting, polished concrete floors with underfloor heating, a bespoke kitchen with Falcon range and butler's pantry, and a feature bespoke staircase with sheet steel balustrade ensure a unique yet understated beachfront living experience.

The spacious living and dining areas provide unspoiled views of the Kapiti Island, while the luxurious main bedroom suite also offers breathtaking views. Despite its grandeur, the Semi Industrial Beachside Stunner demonstrates a true commitment to environmental consciousness and sustainable design.

“Peter’s design met the competitive price point brief, while incorporating style and encompassing bespoke design concepts. David Reid Homes have a proud history of building beautifully crafted, innovative homes and AD Architecture’s Trebury Design was exceptional and a pleasure to build. Peter’s utilisation of a strong singular mono pitch structure along with textural cladding elements and locally sourced macrocarpa weatherboard cladding contrasted with bagged and painted brickwork. AD Architecture’s design of this 3-bedroom home in the leafy, eco-friendly subdivision of Ferndale is ideal for relaxed living. Peter used contemporary styling with a mix of neutral colour tones, textures and natural materials combining to create a light-filled, relaxing retreat, finished to the highest standard.”
