Affordable luxury home designed for pro surfer Paige Hareb, featuring durable materials, spacious living areas, and stunning ocean views in Oakura, NZ.
Shearer Drive, Oakura, NZ
Oriented on an odd-shaped block to take advantage of ocean views from the living areas, this affordable luxury home was built for pro surfer Paige Hareb, who grew up in the area. Durable vertical Coloursteel cladding combined with shiplap cedar weatherboards were chosen for the exterior to withstand the seaside weather conditions and salt spray.
Floor to ceiling glazed doors open out the spacious living/dining area and sharp black and white kitchen to outdoor paved areas and views of the ocean beyond. Polished concrete floors are a practical and aesthetically pleasing choice for the living areas and continue to the main bathroom with full bath, shower recess, wall-hung vanity and separate lavatory. The three bedrooms are all carpeted with the main bedroom including a large walk-in wardrobe and en suite bathroom and two additional bedrooms featuring built-in robes.
An attached double garage includes the laundry and additional storage space – with plenty of room for surfboards.
