Aotea, Porirua

The joinery throughout this modern home balances refined simplicity with considered functionality, creating a cohesive design language across the kitchen, scullery and laundry spaces. Clean lines, generous storage and carefully selected finishes provide a sophisticated aesthetic while supporting everyday family living and entertaining. The kitchen combines simple Acrylic Gloss cabinetry in Glacier with a striking Calacatta Kitchen Marble. A substantial 40mm mitred benchtop and waterfall end create a strong architectural feature, complemented by brushed nickel Mardeco Milano handles. Thoughtful internal storage includes pantry drawers, cutlery trays and integrated lighting details, while full-height panels provide a clean connection between the cabinetry and architecture. The adjoining scullery continues the Glacier cabinetry and brushed nickel hardware, paired with Aspin White Uniquartz. Internal storage, integrated waste bins and a Le Mans II corner system maximise functionality, while angled LED channels and a ceiling shadowline add refined detailing. The laundry continues the cohesive material palette with Snowdrift Melteca cabinetry, Aspin White Uniquartz and matching brushed nickel hardware. Integrated hamper storage provides practical organisation while maintaining the clean aesthetic. Across all three spaces, consistent finishes, hardware, lighting and detailing create a unified joinery scheme. The result is understated yet highly functional, with every element carefully considered to deliver simply elegant joinery for contemporary family living.
