A dual-level coastal retreat at Snells Beach - sea views, charred timber cladding, and a considered layout for a slower pace of life.
Some decisions change the pace of your life entirely. Trading an inner-city apartment for a new-build on the Snells Beach coastline is exactly that kind of decision.
The design is organised around the view. Kitchen, living, dining, and master bedroom sit at street-entrance level, where the sea is always present. Below, the natural curvature of the land creates a quieter lower level - two guest bedrooms and bathrooms, each opening to an outdoor seating area and lawn.
The exterior makes a confident statement. ABODO Vulcan Charred Cladding - inspired by the Japanese tradition of yakisugi - gives the home its striking black facade, richly textured and virtually maintenance-free. White bagged brick runs alongside it in deliberate contrast, a street presence that is both arresting and grounded.
Low maintenance. High character. And a coastal lifestyle our clients have taken to completely.
