For over 140 years, the SPCA has been protecting thousands of animals every year who are sick, injured and mistreated. They are New Zealand’s oldest and largest animal welfare charity, with 39 centres across the country and over 45,000 animals coming through their centres annually.

The SPCA was looking for wall and floor solutions to use throughout the facility that was impact resistant and impervious to water. Micah Spear from Design Architectural recalled seeing Altro Whiterock White™ at a trade event and knew it would be the perfect fit.

“The SPCA was looking for wall and floor linings that would be resistant to damage, denting, scratching, mould and water ingress. I had seen an Altro Whiterock shower module at an Equinox trade event a few years earlier and thought that it could be the perfect solution for this installation. The SPCA also liked its hygienic/anti-bacterial properties. The jointing sample board that I provided the SPCA proved to be difficult to scratch and they liked the welded jointing option. Altro’s fully integrated system was the best choice for the project, and therefore Altro Whiterock White™ was chosen for the walls and Altro Aquarius™ was chosen for the floors. The installation was completed by Crown Flooring.
