Six-story apartment block featuring resilient steel frames and concrete floors, completed in April 2021 in Wellington, designed in collaboration with Nightingale Group, Aoraki Construction, Designgroup Stapleton Elliott, and Ortus International.
This six-story apartment block is located on the corner of Karo Drive and Victoria Street, Wellington on the western side of the city. The construction was completed in April 2021.
The structure was designed with two-way moment steel frames and metal deck concrete floors focusing on ensuring symmetrical and easy construction. The simple repetitive design frames consist of hollow steel columns filled with concrete making it fire resistant and more resilient.
NZCEL had the pleasure of working with the Nightingale Group, Aoraki Construction, Designgroup Stapleton Elliott, and Ortus International.
