Client: Bovis Lendlease
The Bond is a comprehensive office redevelopment for Bovis Lendlease involving the conservation and integration of the remaining elements of the former AGL gasworks. The project exemplifies a private enterprise commitment to heritage conservation and adaptive reuse. The gasworks building group is adapted as office accommodation providing contemporary services in a thoughtfully conserved historic setting. The massive rockface is exposed to create a dramatic feature within the new office atrium space. Sandstone retaining walls are also conserved celebrating the heritage of the site which is integrated physically and functionally into the new building.
