The Hayman Cronfeld Building
The Hayman Kronfeld Building is a stunning addition to Auckland's Britomart precinct.
This project involved the refurbishment and amalgamation of two heritage-listed warehouses, evolving into a three-level 5 Green Star-rated retail and office space.
It has been a pleasure for WT (New Zealand) to have provided Quantity Surveying Services on this precinct from its inception. The Hayman Kronfeld Building is another great example of the Principal and Architect working together to deliver a jewel for Auckland City following the principle of “value for money” instead of the more common “lowest cost design solution”.
Understanding the complexities of the proposed design, material selections and construction methodologies allowed us to establish a robust cost plan allowing both peddlethorp and Cooper and Company to achieve their respective design and financial goals for this adaptive reuse redevelopment.
